I am sharing with you the most common makeup mistakes that many people make without realizing it. Read on to find out if you're making those mistakes and if so, change them.

1. Not taking care of your skin before makeup
If you don't give your skin the necessary attention before applying make-up, you will have trouble getting the look you deserve. For example, if you don't exfoliate, your foundation will sit on top of dead skin cells and highlight dry patches or imperfections. Make sure you give your skin a good exfoliation a few times a week, and always moisturize before applying makeup. Avoid getting a professional facial right before your special day, especially if you don't know how your skin will react to these treatments. For my advice on this subject, see my other article < You can read it at /a>.
2. Not using a primer
Base is a must if you want your makeup to look its best. It helps create a smooth canvas for your foundation and concealer, and it also helps your makeup last longer. If you don't use a primer, your makeup is more likely to fade and slide off your face throughout the day.
3. Applying heavy foundation to your face.
Less is more" is really a correct phrase for makeup application. If you have particularly oily skin, you may want to apply foundation all over your face to control shine. However, this will actually make your skin look even oilier. Intensive applications can make you look older than you are, more wrinkled, or your skin more imperfect, especially if you choose the wrong product. Instead, you can focus on applying foundation only to the areas of your face that need it and choose thin and moisturizing products.
4. Using the wrong concealer
Not all concealers are the same, and using the wrong one can actually make your under-eye area look worse. If you have dark circles, use a peach or orange-toned concealer to eliminate darkness. If you have redness or blemishes, balance out any unevenness by using a green-toned concealer to neutralize redness. Then, of course, balance your skin tone with another concealer that has an undertone of your skin tone. More detailed information on this subject can be found in my other article you can reach.
5. "Cakey" foundation
I advised you not to use your foundation too heavily. I would also like to point out that you need to apply the right product correctly. We can call foundations that are not spread properly and have a blistering finish on the skin as "cakey". The key to avoiding a cakey finish is to use the right amount of foundation and blend, spread and soak. Start with a small amount of foundation and distribute it over the area as needed. If necessary, use a little more to increase coverage. Use a damp beauty sponge or brush to blend your foundation into your skin for a natural, flawless look.
6. Not applying your eye shadow correctly
If you don't take the time to blend out your eyeshadow, you'll end up with harsh lines and an overall uneven look. Use a soft, fluffy brush to blend your eyeshadow for a flawless finish. Mix the tones from light to dark on top of each other, so you will get a more natural transitional look.
7. Applying too much highlighter
Illuminator is meant to add a subtle glow to your face, not to make you look like a disco ball. When applying highlighter, use a light hand and apply a light amount only to the high points of your face where natural light hits, such as your cheekbones, brow bone, and cupid's bow.
8. Clumping mascara
No one likes mascara that clumps, but many people make this mistake. To avoid clumping, start by wiping off any excess mascara from your brush before applying it to your lashes. Then, hold the brush at the base of your lashes and shake it left and right while moving it up.
9. Uneven bronzer
A common mistake people make when applying bronzer is not mixing it evenly. This can result in a patchy, uneven finish. Be sure to use a large, fluffy brush to blend your bronzer into your skin for a natural, sun-kissed look.
10. "Over-lined" lips
Lip liner is meant to define your lips, not to enlarge them. Use a soft hand when applying lip liner and focus on following your natural lip line. If you go beyond your lip line, your lips will look unnatural and exaggerated.
I wish you flawless make-up!
